01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Rich chocolate, sweet-tart jam and a little whipped cream make for a distinctive Sachertorte. At GRACE SAISON, you can settle in with a slice and coffee or take a cake home to enjoy later. One diner who ordered the Sachertorte with blended coffee enjoyed the contrast between the chocolate and the tangy jam. Another chose it with whipped cream and hot coffee, and found that the jam’s acidity and the cream’s lightness worked well with the chocolate. It’s a cake to savour slowly, with a different balance of flavours in each bite.

The strawberry shortcake pairs finely textured, moist sponge with strawberries and cream that holds its shape. One diner described the sponge as so soft it seemed to melt in the mouth. It makes a leisurely afternoon treat with coffee or tea. The cream puff has a light shell filled generously with rich custard, a good option for anyone keen to savour the filling. One visitor also enjoyed a pudding with coffee jelly in the shop.

Some visitors have enjoyed Mont Blanc as part of a cake set in the shop; another took home the baked Mont Blanc and said it was their favourite. Others have tried tarte Tatin in the shop or chosen a sweet summer-orange pound cake as a souvenir, making the selection appealing for both an on-the-spot treat and baked goods to enjoy at home. Coffee options include the original blend, café latte and Viennese coffee. For tea, there is Irish Malt, Assam blended with whiskey aroma and cocoa, and Morgen Tao, a green tea scented with rose and mango. Choosing a drink to go with your cake is part of the pleasure.
